7-15-25   THOUGHTS      

We are to head toward HOLY in our living.  We are to be separated from the “common”.  
Verse 14 uses the word “conformed”!  Rom 12:1-2   “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.2  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”  Verse 15 says it’s “in all your behavior;”   We are to “conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth;”  

1Pet 1 ;13-17    Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 14  As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,  15  but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior;  16  because it is written, "YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY." 17  If you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay on earth;

A Prayer:
Father, teach us a reverent fear of  You as we live in Your creation.  Teach us also Your love and grace and mercy as we balance our presentation of YOU and Jesus to this world.  Help our holiness, O God.  We live in a polluted world, dear God, help us to overcome weakness.  May ALL our behavior please You... forgive us when it doesn’t.  In the name of Jesus,     Amen.
